I absolutely love my Fitbit Flex! I’ve had it since February and I wear it daily. The only complaint I have is how easily it can come off if I snag it just right. I’ve had a few close encounters where I almost lost it. Talk about panic mode! The first time my Flex accidentally caught the strap of my handbag. The second time it caught the grocery bag as I slipped the bag on my forearm. Clearly, I thought I was “Incredible Hulkette” carrying 50 bags out of the grocery store sans buggy. The third time, I thought I lost it in Wal-mart. I furiously drove back to see if it were in the path of my grocery list. As I was getting out of my car, to my surprise, it was on the side of my seat. *Praise Break and thank you, Jesus!* because this is a $100+ investment. I looked online to see if I could find something that could fix this issue.
I Googled “Fitbit fastener and clasp” and came up with quite a few options. Amazon and eBay had a variety. Of course I went with colorful! :)
Here’s a closer look of the fasteners and clasps. So excited that I found these! There were so many fun colors to choose from. Just slide the fastener on the band and it will snug your band like a watch fastener. The clasp is interchangeable too! I love my free gift from the company! I sent half of them to my sister to have a little bling fun! You can find the clasps and/or fastener accessories here, and here, and also here—or you can Google and see what you can find.
Tory Burch for Fitbit has launched!
You can find the new Tory Burch Fitbit collection here. I think I have enough bands (4) for now, but here are a few of the accessories that I like:
Run stats, route maps, and music controls. Yesssss…to MobileRun tracking!
Exercise logging and workout calendar.
New tracking feature with barcode scanner, calorie coaching, meal shortcuts, and expanded food database.
The new features have already rolled out to Apple users. Don’t worry Android users, our update is coming soon. Remember the saying, “first is the worst, second is the best”? Well that’s how I feel about Android being tardy to the party. At least Fitbit gets more time to work out the kinks with the new features so when it gets to us…it will be running smoothly!
I have not been compensated for this post. All opinions are my own.
I found out about Pacebands from fellow blogger and runDisney fanatic, BamagirlRUNS, and I knew I had to have one! I’ll admit, I’ve seen Pacebands before but never stopped long enough to see what they were or how they worked. Since I am training for my first marathon and preparing for my 5th half, I figured I should invest in one.
So what’s a Paceband? It’s basically a silicone band for runners of all levels: 5K, 10K (coming soon), half and full marathon. They must be pretty sweet because I’m now the proud of owner of three Pacebands (for different levels in my training)! I have the green (half marathon), blue (marathon), and pink (marathon) band (I won in a giveaway)…thank you, BamagirlRUNS! Even if you haven’t reached your goal pace or you may be aiming for a PR/time goal for a half marathon…Pacebands are a great way to help you get there! I love the fact that the splits are raised and easy to read. They are inexpensive and you don’t have to worry about charging your band or its battery life…it just sits comfortably around your wrist. As you can tell based on my color choices, they are customizable (color, distance, pace, and time).
Yes, I’ve been dubbed gadget girl by my running buds and even been told that I have “cute run trinkets”, but everything I purchase serves a purpose. We live in a technology driven world and I love my GPS sports watch, but I’ll have to admit—Pacebands are pretty innovative. They are a lot easier to use than having a pace wristband generator where you create it, print it, and tape it to your wrist…and it’s a lot easier than writing your splits on your arm. Yes, some runners do this!
My goal for my first marathon is to finish upright! However, there’s nothing wrong with a challenge. I share things that I believe in because I want you to experience the awesomeness too! If you would like to learn more about Pacebands or order one for yourself, visit here!
I shared in an earlier post how much I love As Seen On TV products. Cliff Huxtable started my obsession with gadgets. Every time I see a commercial, there’s something new I want to try. I was on the hunt looking for the Stuffz and it took me three stores before I finally found it. Summer is almost here and I can’t wait to fire up the grill and give it a try! While on my mission, I was excited when I found The Perfect Tortilla pans on clearance. They are very easy to use…all you will need is a pan, tortilla, and an oven. How simple is that?! It makes the most perfect tortilla bowl ever! Taco salad, please!
The Perfect Tortilla Pan lets you have crispy, delicious tortilla bowls right at home. Instantly turn any dish into a fun, flavorful meal. Just shape, bake and create. With the Perfect Tortilla Pan Set, as seen on TV, your tortillas are always baked not fried, for all the flavor and none of the fat! The Perfect Tortilla Pan is great for taco bowls, salads, dips and more – your family will love the Perfect Tortilla.
I love that the tortilla is baked not fried. I also love that you can use different size tortilla shells. They come out so crispy and delicious and you can make a variety of appetizers, salads, and even soups. I can’t wait to use the tortilla bowl with one of my favorite dips. Just get creative! It is perfect for any get together or for Taco Night!
I’m glad I discovered The Perfect Tortilla. It’s the perfect addition to kitchen accessories!
I need a support group! I blame late night infomercials and Cliff Huxtable. Everyone who watched the Cosby Show knows how much Cliff loved new gadgets. Well, it only took me going to three different Wal-Mart locations to find what I was looking for. Don’t ask my HB because he will beg to differ, I’m really not that bad. When it comes to As Seen On TV, my Mom is the Queen so maybe she’s rubbed off just a little. She always gives the best gifts for the holidays and birthdays. Somewhere in the mix of gifts is always a gadget of some sort from As Seen on TV. You can’t help but love whatever it is because it’s something you’ve always wanted! You know you love the Bacon Bowl and you have to admit the Chop Magic Chopper is pretty cool, but nothing takes the cake like a STUFZ!
About Stufz and how it works:
Make stuffed burgers like a pro with Stufz the stuffed burger maker. Stufz Stuffed Burger Maker as seen on TV. Make delicious, mouth watering burgers stuffed with you favorite filling, cheese, mushrooms, garlic, onions whatever you want. It’s easy as 1 shape it, 2 stuff it, 3 seal it! Stufz creates a deep cup to hold your filling, and seals the sides for a perfect leak proof burger and locking flavor in. Stufz easily pops out the burger when ready. Dishwasher safe.
I love a sweet deal. Right beside my Stufz was the Perfect Tortilla Pan Set on clearance for $5.00. Taco salad anyone? I love the fact that you can ditch the frying and make your own taco salad bowl by baking it.
I’ll admit, I’m a gadget junkie—especially when it comes to the kitchen. Can’t wait to make some gourmet-style burgers with my Stufz! I’ll be sharing an update soon!
It is holiday season — one of my favorite times of the year! Christmas decorations, family time, peppermint bark, egg nog (Evan Williams is my fave), fruit cake, and the list goes on! I know I’ve been an “awful good girl”, but what I did not know is that Santa was going to visit me early! Glad I baked that cake (instead of cookies lol). My hubby surprised me with my very first gift — one of the best gifts ever!!! I am now officially #TeamiPad!!! I absolutely love, love, love it!
And thank you to my sweet friend, Chevy, for hooking my new baby up with a cool, purple stylus!
Santa didn’t stop there…I decided to suit up and surprise my Mom!
Since I (Mrs. Claus) was in the neighborhood, my Mom got her first gift! (She’s gonna get me if she finds out I posted this photo). Her surprise was…
…a new Keurig!!! I was totally planning on getting her one for Christmas, but since her other coffee pot broke…I decided to go ahead and give it to her. She was ecstatic! Welcome to the wonderful world of K-cups Mom!
